Kate Hudson shows off her sporty side as she enjoys some quality time with her sons

She’s the iconic actress from How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, a fashion designer, and a mother of three.

And on Thursday evening, Kate Hudson, 40, stepped out with her 15-year-old son Ryder Robinson to enjoy some quality time at a basketball game.

The mother and son duo sat court-side at the Los Angeles Clippers and Portland Trail Blazers game at the Staples Center while laughing and seemingly having a blast.

For the evening out, the actress wore a black floral long sleeve maxi dress.

She dressed the look down with a pair of white sneakers and had her blonde hair up into a pony tail.

Ryder kept it casual in a black Buffalo Braves sweater and black jeans. He wore white sneakers just like his mom as they both appeared to be having fun chanting for their favorite team.

Recently, the Fabletics designer stopped by Dax Shepard’s podcast and the two opened up a can of worms about their short-lived relationship.

While on the Armchair Expert, Shepard, 44, revealed it was a ‘very, very fun and a very memorable, very wonderful, fun experience’ that he shared with the blonde beauty.

After Kate split up from her ex Chris Robinson, whom she shares Ryder with, she had a brief romance with her former costar Owen Wilson before deciding to play a prank on the paparazzi outside of Nobu in Malibu back in 2007 with Shepard.

‘While we were there, we said, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if we came out holding hands and I was your new boyfriend?’ Shepard said while on the podcast about how their relationship came to be.

‘We were just pals. … And then we added, ‘Wouldn’t it be great if her new boyfriend didn’t wear a shirt at Nobu?’

The two then realized that they were ‘super compatible’ but in the end it just didn’t work out because they were in ‘different places in their life.’

‘I felt very ‘less than’ around you quite often,’ the Bless This Mess star revealed.

‘I think I was just in the point where I was not gonna get hired for movies anymore — I had a bunch that didn’t work and I’m like, ‘I don’t f**king know what’s next’ and you were at that time making the most you ever made and having the most opportunity. … I’m following this person around as they do things I wish I were doing. It was a rough period anyways and then I felt all kinds of inadequacy in that position.’

But Hudson had some different thoughts on why the relationship didn’t reach its full potential: ‘Honestly, I wasn’t giving Dax what he needed and I was making choices that were not relationship-focused. ‘I was not ready for what Dax — It was so much fun, it got hot fast … and I wasn’t prepared.’

But all seemed to work out in the end as Dax found his true love with his wife Kristen Bell. The two got married back in 2013 and share their two daughters together, Lincoln, aged six, and Delta, aged four.

Hudson has also has had her share of romances after being linked to Lance Armstrong, golfer Adam Scott, Alex Rodriguez, and Matthew Bellamy.

The Happy X Nature founder and musician got engaged in 2011 and share their son Bingham, aged eight, together but later called off their engagement in December of 2014.

And then last year, she welcomed her daughter Rani Rose with her current boyfriend Danny Fujikawa.
